Seeley Found Competent
Good work by our trial team: Coty Hand and Will Gieske!
It did not take long for the jury to reach their competency decision regarding Kyle Lyn Seeley. He was found competent enough to stand trial and will now face six attempted murder charges. Authorities said he attacked his brother, his parents, and his children with a machete and other weapons in 2021.
Seeley, who initially pleaded not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect, was ordered a mental examination by a judge in 2022. After now being found competent, Seeley's jury trial date has been set for April 15, 2024. He is currently being held without bond in the Lauderdale County Jail as he waits for trial.
