Chief Assistant District Attorney Angie King Hamilton was honored on April 10th at a presentation in Huntsville as the Prosecutor of the Year. The award was presented by the U.S. Attorney's office, along with Crisis Services of North Alabama and the Madison County District Attorney's Office.

Angie is well deserving of this recognition. She works extremely hard. In addition to handling a full caseload of pending felony cases, she regularly provides training to law enforcement and speaks to community groups on various topics of concern to the community.

She is also a force in the courtroom. In 2017, she led the successful human trafficking prosecution of Corey Artis Davis, which resulted in Davis receiving a sentence of life in prison. She also led the prosecution of Pete Wesson, who was convicted this week by a jury of 55 Counts of Possession of Child Pornography and one count of Possession of Child Pornography after a four day jury trial.
