Grand Jury and Parole Hearings - Week of Nov 4th

Grand Jury and Parole Hearings:

Another busy week this week with grand jury in session and a trip to Montgomery to parole hearings for two men serving life sentences for the murder of Poncie Davis.

The grand jury convened and considered evidence in 115 cases this week. Grand jurors will return the week of December 16th to conclude their service.

On Wednesday, I stood with the family of Poncie Davis in opposing the parole of Richard Dean and Reeder Danley, who brutally robbed and murdered Mr. Davis in his home on July 4th, 1998. The parole board denied parole for both men.
