Lauderdale County District Attorney’s Office

On Friday, November 6th, 2015, we attended a luncheon at First Methodist Church in Florence to honor the volunteers who work at One Place of the Shoals Family Justice Center. The Center has recently completed its first year of operation serving victims in our community. The successes of the first year of operation would not have been possible without the team of dedicated volunteers who help staff the facility. We honored Sandra Powell as Volunteer of the Year. Ms. Powell works at the Center each Monday. Her calming presence, and her sharing of her time and talents (including her cooking skills), made her most deserving of this award!
