In Memory of Bridgette Marshall

I traveled to Boaz on Friday, June 29th to attend the Celebration of Life of Bridgette Marshall, wife of my friend, Attorney General Steve Marshall. As shocking and sad as her death was, the celebration of her life was beautiful.

From the music, including a song sung by her daughter, Faith, to the messages from preachers who knew her and her family well. And Steve paid a beautiful tribute to her by recounting her life, and their life together, from their first date at Ryan’s to her giving spirit, including on one occasion “paying it forward” 11 straight times at the McDonald’s drive-thru.

She left this world much too soon. May she rest in peace.
